AviaRent opens student residences in Hanover and Weimar

In 2015 and 2016, the Luxembourg fund manager had already acquired the two projects for his fund MikroQuartier I for a total of 17.3 million euros. Now both micro-apartment houses were completed and opened on time for the winter semester 2017/2018.

The "Chic7" student hostel in Hanover-Laatzen on the Chicago Lane consists of two buildings and comprises a total of 194 residential units, including 174 single rooms and 20 double rooms. All apartments are furnished and have a bathroom with shower. On each floor, two living groups share a common kitchen, which is equipped with oven, microwave, electric cooker with ceramic hob, refrigerator with freezer, as well as kitchen tables and chairs.

The second object is the micro-apartment house "Swan35" in the Schwanseestraße in Weimar, which is not only rented to students and apprentices, but also to commuters and young professionals. The four-storey building in Weimar has a total of 49 apartments, including 47 one-bedroom apartments and two shared apartments. These apartments are all furnished and equipped with a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette.

„With around 40,000 students in Hanover and 5,000 students in Weimar, there is a great need for micro-apartments in both cities. Especially for first-time students who receive their pledges just before the start of their studies, the move into a furnished apartment is the most comfortable, "says Dan-David Golla, CEO.
